Kelso v Grange 2s

Saturday 5th May 2018

Kelso lost to Grange 2s by 7 wickets in their second Eastern Championship fixture of the season.
Batting first at the home of Scottish Cricket, Kelso posted a sub-par total eventually finishing all out for 175. Kelso got off to a flying start, reaching 100-2 after 20 overs, however regular wickets meant that the innings never had the momentum required to post a winning total. Michael Eckard, returning for his second season for Kelso from South Africa, top scored with 35.

Despite the low first innings score, Kelso bowled and fielded extremely well to ensure Grange only reached the total in the second last over of the game. Elliot Keenan, from Berwick, was the difference between the two teams, taking 4 Kelso wickets in the first innings and reaching 61* to guide the Edinburgh side home.
Kelso are back in action this Saturday at Shedden Park against Musselburgh where they will look to get back to winning ways.
