7 August 2016

Kelso CC came up against Edinburgh team RHC in their East of Scotland Fixture over the weekend. The Tweedsiders won the toss and elected to bat looking to put the home side on the back foot. To Kelso’s demise, they lost a few quick wickets at the top of the order. Kiwi M. Hughes was able fight back with some big hitting scoring 51 runs and was the only notable batsmen. Kelso were only able to manage a total of 107 runs after being bowled out in the 44th over.

RHC began the small run chase well scoring runs quickly, taking advantage of the bad balls bowled. Kelso were unable to nullify RHC’s scoring and they passed the total in the 29th over only 3 wickets down. C. Adams was the pick of the bowlers taking 2 wickets for 29 from his 9 overs.
